Description

Herman Miller — Aeron Chair Remastered

The Aeron, in Mineral

Designed by Don Chadwick and Bill Stumpf and remastered by Herman Miller in 2016, the Aeron remains the reference point most other ergonomic chairs get compared against. This listing is the Mineral finish — a lighter, more considered take on the classic Aeron, bringing a quiet touch of class to a refined home office or a more relaxed executive space, without giving up any of the ergonomics. Available in Sizes A, B and C, with a choice of Nylon or Polished Aluminium base.

What makes the Aeron the Aeron

8Z Pellicle mesh

A woven suspension material across the seat and back, rather than foam — it flexes to distribute weight across a wider area and lets air move through, instead of trapping heat the way a padded seat does.

PostureFit SL lumbar support

Adjustable independently for height and depth, supporting the base of the spine directly rather than relying on general backrest curvature.

Kinemat tilt

A tilt mechanism that keeps the seat and back moving with your body’s centre of gravity as you recline, rather than pivoting from a single fixed point.

Three true sizes

Size A, B and C are genuinely different shells — not one shell with a wider adjustment range — so the proportions actually change to fit the person, not just the settings.

Tilt limiter and forward tilt

Set how far the chair can recline, or lock it in a slight forward tilt for close, focused desk work.

Adjustable arms

Height, width, pivot and depth adjustment, so the arms can be set to support the forearm at typing height or moved out of the way entirely.

A lighter, more considered finish

Mineral trades Graphite’s dark neutrality for a softer, brighter frame and mesh — the same chair, but a quieter, more refined presence in the room.

Nylon or Polished Aluminium base

Nylon is the standard base finish; Polished Aluminium is a brighter, more elevated alternative that leans further into Mineral’s lighter, more refined look.

Choosing your size

Size A, B and C are different shells, not one shell on a wider adjustment range — so getting it right matters more than with most chairs. It comes down to your height and build rather than personal preference; check your measurements against the dimensions in the specifications table below.

Common questions

Is this a genuine Herman Miller chair?

Yes — this is authentic Herman Miller product, sourced through a local Australian sales channel.

What’s the warranty?

12 years, covering manufacturing defects, backed by Ergonomic Solutions. For a warranty claim, contact sales@ergonomicsolutions.com.au.

How do I pick the right size — A, B or C?

Size is based on your height and build rather than personal preference — check the dimensions in the specifications table above against your own measurements. If you’re between sizes, or want to sit in all three before deciding, come in-store and we’ll help you choose.

What’s the difference between this and the Graphite finish?

Same chair, same specifications and warranty — Graphite is darker and more traditionally formal, Mineral is lighter, with a softer, more refined look that suits a considered home office or a more relaxed executive space. It’s a finish choice, not a different model.

What’s the difference between the Nylon and Polished Aluminium base?

Nylon is the standard base finish. Polished Aluminium is a brighter, more elevated alternative that pairs particularly well with the lighter Mineral finish for a more considered, put-together look.

What’s the difference between the Aeron and the Mirra 2?

The Aeron uses 8Z Pellicle mesh across a fixed shell shape, with PostureFit SL for targeted lumbar support — it suits long, relatively stationary desk sessions. Mirra 2 has a dynamic backrest (Butterfly or TriFlex) that flexes with your movement, which suits a more active sitting style. Both are genuinely different designs, not tiers of the same chair.
