A mesh task chair built to move with you all day
The HÅG SoFi Mesh combines a breathable mesh back with HÅG’s inBalance tilt, so the chair keeps moving with you instead of locking you into one fixed position. Fully functional lumbar support, seat depth adjustment and SlideBack armrests are included as standard on the chairs we stock in Australia, in two colourways: light grey mesh with a white base, or black mesh with a black base.

165 mm lift is standard (395–545 mm seat height). A 200 mm lift (450–640 mm) is available if you need extra height for a raised desk.

Made to last, and made to be taken apart
The most sustainable chair is the one nobody has to replace. The SoFi Mesh is designed for disassembly without special tools, and contains no hazardous chemicals — so individual parts can be repaired or replaced rather than the whole chair being scrapped.
Per HÅG’s own current product factsheet, the SoFi Mesh 7500 (with aluminium armrests) contains 46% recycled material and is 90% recyclable, with a carbon footprint of 73 kg CO₂ equivalents. It’s certified to ISO 14001, holds an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), and meets GREENGUARD and Möbelfakta standards for low chemical emissions and social responsibility. The mesh fabric itself is 100% polyester, certified to Oeko-Tex® Standard 100.

Common questions
What’s the difference between the SoFi Mesh and the SoFi Mesh with headrest?
Only the headrest. The frame, tilt mechanism, lumbar support and armrests are identical — the headrest version adds an adjustable headrest for extra shoulder, neck and head support, which suits people who lean back frequently or spend long stretches on calls.
Which colourway should I choose?
We stock two in Australia: light grey mesh with a white base, or black mesh with a black base. Both come with SlideBack armrests as standard. HÅG’s full mesh range (burgundy, dark blue, putty grey) can be special ordered if you want something different.
Do I need the 200mm gas lift?
Most people don’t. The standard 165 mm lift (395–545 mm seat height) covers the vast majority of desks and users. The 200 mm lift is worth ordering if you’re tall, or the chair needs to reach a raised desk.
Is it suitable for a shared or multi-user desk?
Yes — it’s one of the reasons HÅG designed it this way. The SoFi Mesh needs minimal adjustment to sit well, which makes it a good fit for hot-desking and multi-user office environments as well as personal desks.
What is covered by the warranty?
Ten years against manufacturing defects, based on normal use of up to nine hours per day. This is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded.
