A handshake grip that ends forearm twisting
The D Series keeps Evoluent’s patented vertical shape — your hand rests upright as if mid-handshake, so the forearm never has to twist flat the way it does over a standard mouse.
The three finger buttons sit in shallow grooves that your fingertips naturally settle into, keeping the mouse secure in your hand and cursor movement more precise.
Wired or wireless, your call
All three sizes come in both connection types, so picking a size doesn’t lock you into a connection.
Wired
Connected and powered via a 2.2m USB cable — no battery to manage, plug in and go.
Wireless
Connects via a 2.4GHz USB receiver, powered by a single AA battery. The receiver stows in a storage slot in the base when not in use.

Details that add up
An extended lip along the base stops your little finger rubbing the desk. A speed button behind the wheel steps the pointer through 800/1600/2400/3200 DPI without releasing your grip, with LED indicators in the thumb rest showing the current setting.
All six buttons — 3 finger, 2 thumb, plus scroll wheel click — are programmable via the free Evoluent Mouse Manager software, which is optional but recommended.

Common questions
How do I pick the right size?
Size is based on hand length — Small suits smaller hands, Large suits bigger hands, Medium covers most people in between. Check the dimensions above, or ask our Occupational Therapy team if you’re unsure.
Is this available for left hands?
No — the D Series is right hand only, across all three sizes. If you need a left-hand option, the Evoluent VerticalMouse 4 range includes a Left Wired version.
What’s the difference between the D Series and VerticalMouse 4?
The D Series is Evoluent’s newer design, built on the same handshake grip as VerticalMouse 4 but adding grooved finger buttons, an extended lip, illuminated speed indicators and a wider DPI range. VerticalMouse 4 remains available in Left, Right and Mac Bluetooth options the D Series doesn’t offer.
Do I need to install software?
No — it works as a standard mouse straight away. The Evoluent Mouse Manager driver is optional and only needed if you want to reprogram the six buttons.
How long does the wireless battery last?
It runs on a single AA battery. Evoluent doesn’t publish an exact battery life figure for the D Series wireless models, so expect similar longevity to other 2.4GHz ergonomic mice — several months of typical use.
What’s the warranty?
2 years against manufacturing defects.
